RUM CHUMS

The Mid-Michigan Parrot Head Club (Rum Chums) is a carefree social group formed to promote friendships and fun in the spirit of a tropical lifestyle and Jimmy Buffett music. We are a non-profit group that is interested in helping with environmental and charitable concerns within our local community.

MMPHC was formed in May 2003 after a chance encounter aboard Parrothead Cruise 2003. To date we have raised over $71,250 for local charities while having a lot of fun along the way. We call it "partying with a purpose". Mid-Michigan Parrot Head Club is an official Chapter Member of Parrot Heads in Paradise, Inc. (PHiP)

April 29, 2012 - Susan Komen Race for the Cure 

We have several members who will be volunteering for this event and doing the Walk/Run and at least one member who will be participating in the "Survivors Parade"

February 26, 2012 - Polar Plunge for Michigan Special Olympics
MMPHC once again helped sponsor this event. The weather was unusually warm, and they had to put a dock in the pond at the golf course because there was NO ice, but a grand time was still had by all while we raised thousands for Special Olympics. Ken even won a prize for best costume

 

September 18, 2011 - Alzheimer's Memory Walk
Parrot Heads In Paradise is a national sponsor for Memory Walks for Alzheimer's all across the United States.
