RUM CHUMSThe Mid-Michigan Parrot Head Club (Rum Chums) is a carefree social group formed to promote friendships and fun in the spirit of a tropical lifestyle and Jimmy Buffett music. We are a non-profit group that is interested in helping with environmental and charitable concerns within our local community. MMPHC was formed in May 2003 after a chance encounter aboard Parrothead Cruise 2003. To date we have raised over $71,250 for local charities while having a lot of fun along the way. We call it "partying with a purpose". Mid-Michigan Parrot Head Club is an official Chapter Member of Parrot Heads in Paradise, Inc. (PHiP) This page last updated November 17, 2011 |

October 10, 2009 - Scott Wilson Benefit Motorcycle Rally and Color Tour
MMPHC was well represented at this benefit for club member Scott Wilson. Scott was in a serious motorcycle accident, and his family, friends, and acquaintences decided they had to do something to help with what is going to be a huge medical bill. The sight of hundreds of motorcycles (and a couple of 4 wheeled vehicles) rolling along Michigan's back roads to get to Pirate's Cove in Bancroft, MI was impressive. A great time was had by all, and the event surely helped to raise some money to help with the expenses. I'm sure Scott will also appreciate it when he sees the pictures of all the people who came out to support him.
For more information on Scott and how you can help, you can reach Mark at 66aviator@gmail.com
